Chiringuito Cubanga – Gastronomy on the Shore of Puerto de la Duquesa
Right on Playa Levante, just steps from the lively marina of Puerto de la Duquesa, Cubanga Beach Club is one of the most well-known chiringuitos on the western Costa del Sol. Open since 1997, it was founded by French-trained chef Thierry Bourderioux, who honed his craft at institutions including the Hotel Ritz in London and the Moulin Rouge in Paris — and brought that passion for quality food to the Andalusian shoreline.
The menu goes beyond the typical chiringuito fare. Alongside the classic espetos and fresh grilled fish you expect by the sea, Cubanga offers an international touch: think crab salad, prawn cocktails, tartare and carefully selected wines. It’s a great spot for a long lazy lunch with your feet in the sand, or an early evening meal as the sun drops behind the hills towards Gibraltar.
