In der Nacht des 23. findet das Spiel statt und nur der Gewinner wird vor dem Verbrennen gerettet, nur bis zur nächsten Nacht. Die Menschen von Estepona versammeln sich um Mitternacht am Strand, um nasse Füße zu bekommen und das Wasser zu berühren, das nach der Tradition das ganze Jahr über Glück schenkt.
