Playa del Cristo (Most Popular)
Located just west of the Marina, this sheltered cove is legendary for its calm, shallow waters.
The vibe: safe, cosy and kid-friendly.
Highlights: facing west, it stays sunny longer than any other beach in town.
The protective horseshoe shape keeps the water a few degrees warmer.
Amenities: home to the popular beach bars Havana and the lively Lolailo.
💡 Tip: arrive early! This beach is small and fills up fast on summer weekends.

Playa de la Rada (The Town Centre Hub)
Estepona's flagship beach, stretching over 2.5 km right along the town centre.
The vibe: energetic and convenient, perfect for families.
Highlights: Blue Flag status, a wide palm-lined promenade and numerous playgrounds.
Amenities: showers, lifeguards and dozens of chiringuitos serving fresh espetos and much more.
💡 Tip: great for a morning power-walk or a sunset stroll before heading into the Old Town for tapas.
Playa del Padrón
Trendy and upscale. Located near Laguna Village and close to the Melia (formely Kempinski Resort), it's the place for a "beach club" experience.
Playa del Saladillo
East of Estepona. Spacious and peaceful: even in high season you can find a quiet corner. Ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing. This is also where you'll find Pepe's Beach.
Playa Bahía Dorada
Western Estepona (wild and natural). Known for its unique rock formations and the best spot in town for snorkelling. (Tip: wear water shoes!)
Playa Arroyo Vaquero
Arroyo Vaquero – Costa Natura – Guadalobón
A fairly quiet beach with moderate occupancy, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea. The rocks on the seabed make it a prime spot for scuba diving enthusiasts. The beach has an average width of 30 metres and a sandy shore.
Arroyo Vaquero is located in Estepona, just 8 kilometres from the town and next to Bahía Dorada beach. The rocky seabed and the marine vegetation and fauna that come with it make this the perfect choice for diving enthusiasts.
As the area is quiet and off the beaten track, naturist bathing is permitted here. In fact, Costa Natura, the beach next to Arroyo Vaquero, is home to the first official naturist resort in Spain.
The beach does not have many services, and the shore has fewer stones than other beaches. Suitable for disabled visitors.
Address: SUP06 Urbanización Arroyo Vaquero Playa, Estepona
Playa de Guadalmansa (Kitesurf Heaven)
Urbanización Playa Guadalmansa is the official zone for kitesurfing. When the wind is up, the sky is filled with colourful kites. For lessons, try Kitesurf School Marbella – Freedom Kite.
Playa de Guadalobón
Known for its low occupancy throughout the year, this is an ideal place to enjoy the tranquillity and pleasant climate that characterise Estepona. From here you can enjoy a beautiful view of Estepona in the distance, bathed by the sea.
