Sierra Bermeja have been declared Natural Park. It is the largest massif of peridotitic rocks in the world. The rarity of the geological substrate also results exclusive plant population. The predominant trees in the lower part of the mountain are the oaks, pines in the middle, and pinsapos at its summit, with special interest the Paseo de los Pinsapos.
