Swimming in Estepona

Visit Estepona

Not all apartments and hotels have swimming pools in Estepona. Of course you have more than 20 kilometers of beach, but if you really want to go to a swimming pool, there are plenty of options:

  • Public swimming pool:
Piscina Municipal Santo Tomás, 29680 Estepona, Malaga, Spain
  • Tip: take a short family abo at the gym with swimming pools:
José Ramón de la Morena CD has 2 heated swimming pools, a full spa, several a large gym and a solarium. A whole month for the whole family costs about € 55 and then you can also exercise every day, aquagym etc.
  • Coming soon: Laguna Village 2.0: the largest luxury beach club in Spain in Estepona:
yacht club, beach club, children’s paradise, restaurant-club, retail, entertainment & shopping.
This is under construction on the same spot as the previous Laguna Beach which was unfortunately destroyed by fire in 2020.
  • Alcazaba Lagoon, an artificial lagoon of 1.4 hectares with always turquoise water.
A huge freshwater oasis 6 km from the Costa del Sol between Estepona and Casares.
    Not cheap: https://vivelagoon.com/
  • Hotel Globales Playa Estepona
    Day Pass: https://qt.im/fn3
  • Trocadero Estepona
Beach club with swimming pool, not really suitable for a day of water fun with children, more for those who want to see and be seen in a beautifully decorated complex. https://grupotrocadero.com/en/restaurantes/trocadero-estepona/
  • Nido Beach
Also very suitable for the ̈Happy Few ̈ with a spacious budget, nicely decorated by the sea with swimming pool.
  • Spiler Pool Bar at Kempinsky
Check the costs in advance 😉

  • Water parks:
    Aqualand Torremolinos (1 hour drive)
Bahia Park Algeciras. (approx. 3 quarters of an hour drive)
Aquamijas Mijas (approx. 3 quarters of an hour drive)
Aquavelis (near Torre del Mar – 1.5 hours)
Combine with a visit to Nerja (Balcon de Europa, caves)
  • Water park in the sea with slides Fun Beach Park Estepona:
Playa de la Rada, in Avenida de España, fun floating water park for all ages, from 6 years

Tip: Natural pools

Did you know that near Estepona there are also natural pools for swimming?2 of the most appreciated natural pools in the province of Málaga: Charca de las Nutrias and Las Pozas del Río Padrón.
Both are recommended in combination with a walking route.

Not really for swimming but nice to mention because you can certainly enter the water and is a unique place:
Banos de la Hedionda in Casares
