Atalaya Golf & Country Club
Holes:
36 . 2 x 18 holes of golf courses (both Par 72). One from 1968 and one recent new golf course. The old and new wide golf courses run through each other, through beautiful nature and countless pine, eucalyptus and olive trees. The old golf course is a classic park course with wide fairways, the new course is challenging and has nice views.

Special: A fairly flat golf course with plenty of space, fun for the advanced and the novice golfer, the course is good to walk. The clubhouse/restaurant is good.
Location : Estepona East- On the north side of the coastal road A-7, Exit 167 at the “Benavista” shopping centre. From Estepona first drive in the right direction via “cambio de Sentido” (Benahavis) (back towards Estepona). El Paraiso Golf is about 2 km to the right of the highway.
After about 2 km follow the signs to Estepona Golf Clubhouse (at the lake up the hill).

Valderrama – Sotogrande

Special: Top golf course, years host of the Volvo World Masters, Ryder Cup. The number 1 in Europe, but very difficult to book. In beautiful green surroundings at Sotogrande.
Location : From the A-7 coastal road from Estepona towards Sotogrande. At exit km131 turn, under the road through and then at km130 again under the coastal road. North of the coastal road Valderrama is then about 2km right, just ahead of other golf courses such as Almenara and La Reserva.

Alcaidesa

18 . Without a doubt one of the most beautiful golf courses. Alcaidesa is by the sea overlooking the rock of Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains of Africa.

La Quinta Golf

Location : East of Estepona, between Estepona and Marbella, behind San Pedro (about 15 minutes from Estepona via the toll road).
- From the Turnpike AP-7 exit San Pedro. At the roundabout south of the toll road take the side road towards La Quinta Golf (about 1 km). La Quinta golf is well signposted from here.
- From the coastal road A-7, exit A397 (Towards Ronda) take. After about 2 km at the roundabout which lies just in front of the AP-7, turn right. Follow the signs.

Los Arqueros

27 (18 +9) 18, Par 72. Opened in 1991, this was the first golf course designed by Severiano Ballesteros. This beautiful three-story golf course is set in a beautiful setting with exceptionally beautiful views over the mountains and sea from several holes. With in the background on clear days Africa and Gibraltar.

Special: Golf course in the hills with high altitude differences, so many deep valleys. Not suitable for beginners. The clubhouse has a good kitchen and terrace.
Location : Between Estepona and Marbella, located about 5 km behind San Pedro, near the cosy (culinary) town of Benahavis on the road to Ronda. On the toll road AP-7 exit “San Pedro” , then towards Ronda on the A-397, after about 3 minutes on the left hand the exit “Los Arqueros Golf” follows.

Location : About 15 km from the coast, near Benahavis, between Estepona and Marbella. Take Benahavis exit from the coastal road A-7 exit (km 169). Then pass Attalaya Golf first. After you have gone through the AP-7, first pass Marbella Golf Club. Stay on the road to Benahavis, where you will encounter Monte Mayor by itself.

18, Par 71. Designed by Antonio Garcia Garrido. Technically interesting and watery golf courses. Beautifully located.

Special: Very well maintained golf course, wide and with beautiful views over the Mediterranean sea and mountains and the beautiful 5 star hotel “Villa Padierna”. Nice complex with even more jobs under construction, everything is taken care of to perfection. There is a stylish clubhouse/restaurant.
Location : Estepona East, on the way to San Pedro Marbella.
From Estepona you take the coastal road A-7. After about 10 minutes the exit (salida) “Cambio de Sentido- Cancelada” take. Across the A-7 at the roundabout straight ahead. Keep going straight ahead (even at roundabouts) and follow the signs until you reach Los Flamingos.

Rio Real Golf Club

18, Par 72. Located just outside Marbella. Old and tree-rich parkland lane. Nicely located in a valley.

Special: Adjacent to the River Real, which runs through the golf course. Nicely located old course with flat and hilly holes, the course is well maintained and the area is taken care of, well worth a visit. The clubhouse and restaurant are stylish, but not cheap.
Location : East of Marbella, after about 3 km on the coastal road A-7 towards Malaga, take the exit 185 (from the direction Malaga: 186). From the coastal road to Rio Real it is about 2 km drive (towards inland).
